Privacy Policy

What we collect

When you use StreetShare™ we collect the email address and password you supply to create an account, the files you upload, and limited metadata about each upload (file size, type, and the time the file was created). For files captured with the in-app camera, we store EXIF metadata embedded in the image itself, which can include camera model and GPS coordinates. We do not request your device location separately.

When a recipient opens a share link, they may optionally submit their email address so the person who shared the file can follow up. We store this address and associate it with the file.

How we use it

Your account information is used to authenticate you. Uploaded files are stored so they can be retrieved by anyone who scans the QR code or visits the share link. View counts and download counts are recorded so you can see basic engagement on files you uploaded.

If a recipient submits their email on a share page, we email the uploader to let them know, with the recipient's address set as reply-to so the two can connect. We do not use recipient emails for marketing.

Retention

Files uploaded on the free tier expire 30 days after upload and are automatically deleted from our storage and database. Files uploaded while you have an active StreetShare™ Plus subscription do not expire and are retained until you delete them, close your account, or your subscription ends (in which case files enter a 30-day grace period before reverting to standard 30-day expiry). Deleted files cannot be recovered.

Sharing

Anyone who has a share link can view and download the associated file. We do not sell your data. We share data with third parties only as needed to operate the service: Supabase (storage, authentication, and database); Vercel (web hosting); RevenueCat (subscription management); Apple and Google (in-app purchase processing and receipt validation on the App Store and Google Play); Stripe (web payment processing); Resend (transactional and recipient-notification email); and Upstash (rate-limiting, which processes your IP address). For App Store and Google Play purchases, your payment details are handled by Apple or Google and are never sent to StreetShare™.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account at any time from Settings inside the mobile app. This permanently removes your account, all of your uploaded files (regardless of expiry), and all associated metadata from our systems within a reasonable timeframe.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR and CCPA), you have the right to access, correct, or receive a copy of your personal data; to delete it; to object to or restrict certain processing; and to opt out of any sale of personal information. We do not sell your personal information. You can delete your account and all of your data yourself from Settings in the app (see above); to exercise any other right, email support@satoru.ink from the email address on your account and we will respond within 30 days.

Children

StreetShare™ is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact support@satoru.ink and we will delete it.
